Join IPHA for our annual business meeting! We'll be highlighting local scientific sessions presented at the American Public Health Association annual meeting this past November, our successes from the past year, activities coming up in 2018, acknowledging public health champions here in Idaho and lastly announcing the recipient of the annual IPHA scholarship award.

Coalitions, Conscience and Consistency: The Road to Making a Small Town More Walkable. Mayor of Emmett, Gordon Petrie

Abstract: Local elected officials have a key role to play when advancing walkable communities. During this presentation, learn from the mayor of Emmett, Idaho of how he worked with city stakeholders to repair and replace new sidewalk under a city bidding technique and initiate a three-year strategic project to make all sidewalks ADA compliant. Attendees will also hear how the city has partnered with state nonprofits to support the city’s Safe Routes to School project.

Final agenda coming soon.
