Strategic Plan

The Idaho Public Health Association provides a forum for individuals and organizations to work collectively in order to assure conditions in which Idahoans will be healthy.

As part of a strategic vision of IPHA, four goals related to collaboration, communication, education and organization have been established:

Collaboration - To promote the development of science-based public health policy and to forge strategic partnerships for maximum influence, efficiency and effectiveness.

Communication - To provide a centralized communication and coordination point for dissemination of public health information.

Education - To assure an informed public and enhance the competency of public health professionals.

Organization - To assure a sustainable IPHA infrastructure.

The organization has identified three milestones in its progress in accomplishing these goals:

Advocacy - IPHA is recognized by policy makers and citizens as a trusted voice for the public's health.

Partnership - IPHA is recognized for creating synergistic partnerships that result in health and well-being of Idaho's communities.

Education - IPHA is recognized as a source of reliable public health information and educational resources to enhance the public health workforce and inform the public.
